Man dies in road rage incident

Following a road rage incident Thursday 08.02.18 at 17:00 (local time) on I-5 at 138th street (Milton Wash), SMIDSY has received reports that a 24-year-old rider (rumoured to be known as Aubrey Taylor “AT”) was attacked by a 60-year-old man, which has unfortunately lead to his death.

From what we currently understand, a dispute broke out on interstate 5, whereby both pulled over to the left inside lane and the argument continued.  This lead to the argument becoming physical and both parties ending up fighting on the floor. During this time the girl pulled out a gun and shot the man.

AT remained at the scene and called 911, where medics arrived and tried to save the man. Unfortunately, it has been reported that he died at the scene, she was taken to St. Francis Hospital to have her injuries treated.

Trooper Brooke Bova said

“There’s a lot of road rage in this area, especially with all the construction and the traffic, it’s pretty bizarre to have it end in such a horrible way as this.”

At this stage there isn’t any confirmation as to whether the rider will face any charges, and there has been confirmation from the official state report that no drugs or alcohol were involved.

SMIDSY is a UK based site, and so it is not our place to comment on the gun laws of another country, and until all the details have been found it is hard to make any comment either way. Based on the information we have, this appears to have been a road rage incident, that ended in an act of a young girl in self-defence which has unfortunately lead to the loss of life.

It could be argued that this is a reason for gun control to be stricter, though on the flipside it could easily be said that without the gun, this could have resulted in the death of a young girl.
